What is Next Wiki

What it is

Next Wiki is your company’s knowledge base. Your team documents processes, decisions, requirements and meeting minutes in it. The AI works on that content: it answers questions citing the source documents, drafts from templates and runs agents that research the base, create new documents and propose changes to existing ones for you to approve.

It runs on your server, with your brand, and uses the AI provider you choose: OpenAI, Google Gemini, OpenRouter, a litellm gateway or local models in Ollama.

Key concepts

Concept	What it is
Workspace	The company’s space: members, settings, AI provider and brand.
Collection (project)	Groups the documents of an area or a project. It has permissions, agents, links and its own short code (e.g. HUB).
Document	The page, with a block editor, comments, versions and, if you want, a drawing board.
Document type (template)	Defines the shape of a document (e.g. story, specification, minutes): the starting text and the instructions the AI follows when drafting.
Conversation	A chat with the AI about the workspace, a collection or a document. It is saved and can be resumed.
Skill	A reusable AI instruction the team writes once and uses in the chat (e.g. “summarize minutes in our format”).
Agent	An AI with tools: it searches, reads documents and attachments, creates documents and proposes edits to existing ones. It runs in the background. Whoever configures it can grant more tools: ClickUp, web search, asking questions mid-task, calling another agent.
